Produce persuasively written and spoken messages suitably tailored for the topic, objective, audience, communication medium and context. Learn to demonstrate clarity, precision, conciseness and coherence in your use of language. If you have an immaculate grasp of the English Language, you will definitely be at a huge advantage.
Tips: Majority of the assessment (98%) is based on individual performance through class participation, presentations and discussions so now would be the time to start practicing your speeches and presentations in front of the mirror.
MNO1001: Management and Organisation
Harnessing human psychology, this module addresses the essence of what managers do. Through the study of how we as humans are motivated, how we think and thus how we behave, it gives you an insight into the methods of motivating your people and achieving the results you desire, as a manager. More specifically, it begins by focusing on the two basic building blocks in organisations; the individual and the group. What is required of you is simply to understand the few theories and to apply and elaborate on them.
Tip: For seminar style classes, a portion of the assessment is the class participation, which may be a differentiating factor between students. Therefore make sure that you go to classes well prepared by thinking about the discussion points and mentally prepping yourself to speak up.
